The Havapoo is the result of crossing a Havanese with a Poodle. As with any hybrid breed, your dog’s appearance will vary based on the traits of the breeding pair. However, a few characteristics are common to all Havapoos: floppy ears, round, dark eyes, a little black nose, and a fluffy tail. The coat is soft and shiny and could be wavy or curly in almost any color. As a Poodle mix, they are considered hypoallergenic and could be a good choice for those who suffer from allergies.
Havapoos are snuggly and smart, just as happy to cuddle as they are to show you the latest trick they’ve learned. They are alert but friendly, smart, energetic, and playful. They particularly enjoy activities that involve their humans, like daily walks, agility, or rally. They love to sniff around and explore and to play games like chase, fetch, and hide-and-seek. With the Poodle’s intelligence in their genes, they will be easy to train and eager to please with positive reinforcement. Havapoos are sweet-natured and lively, and charming enough to fit into most households.
