Breed Summary

Labradoodles are happy, easy-going dogs who are very affectionate. They are great playmates for older children, but their high energy and exuberance can make them less appropriate for younger children. (Early training and socialization can help you manage problem behaviors.) They get along well with other dogs and love a jaunt to the local dog park for exercise and socialization. Although they can adapt to any home that prioritizes their daily exercise, they will do best in a home with a fenced-in yard that allows them to work out some of their energy outdoors. Exuberant, social, and loving, this breed makes a great addition to active families.
